    Construction Superintendent

    The Dragas Companies, a well-established residential home builder and developer in the Hampton Roads area, seeks the talents of an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our expanding company.

    Position Description:

    The Construction Superintendent coordinates all community construction activities and supervises field personnel and trade partners to build high-quality homes and recreational amenities on time and within budget.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and supervise the construction of single and multi-family homes to approved plans, specifications, and company standards of excellence.
    • Maintain home construction schedules. 
    • Authorize payments to trade partners for completed work. 
    • Schedule city inspections.
    • Perform completed home quality control inspections.
    • Work with Production Coordinators to ensure timely delivery of materials.

    Assistant Construction Superintendent

    The Dragas Companies, a well-established residential home builder and real estate developer in the Hampton Roads area is seeking the talents of an experienced Assistant Construction Superintendent.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Schedules and monitors work of trade partners and Punch Out staff.
    • Assists Superintendent with the supervision and performance of on-site construction activities.
    • Inspects material deliveries for completeness and quality.
    • Coordinates with Dragas sales associates and administrative staff to maintain accurate home delivery schedules.
    • Reviews homes with City Inspectors to ensure compliance with all residential construction code requirements.
    • Fills in for Punch Out personnel and Superintendents as assigned.
    • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.


    Required Education, Skills, and Abilities:

    • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
    • One year of residential construction experience required.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Light construction skills desirable (painting, drywall finishing, carpentry, siding, etc.)
    • OSHA 10 certification (preferred)
    • RLD certification (preferred)

    Construction Punch Out Technician

    The Dragas Companies, a well-established residential home builder and real estate developer in the Hampton Roads area is seeking the talents of a Punch-out Technician to join our team of professional builders delivering beautiful and quality-built homes.  The Punch-Out Technician is responsible for efficiently completing light construction and other “punch out” activities to Dragas Companies’ standards in preparation for delivery of newly built homes to our buyers.

    Maintenance Technician

    The Dragas Companies, a well-established Real Estate Builder and Developer in the Virginia Beach area is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our maintenance team at one of our large apartment communities. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for upkeep and maintenance of the internal and external structure of the apartment community. The Maintenance Technician must have skills in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, grounds upkeep, carpentry, painting, and janitorial and electrical services.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Inspects apartment units and other structures to determine functional systems, detect malfunctions and needed repairs

    • Performs minor plumbing repairs (e.g. replacement or repairs of leaks in drains, faucets, unclogging of drains, replacement of washers and hoses)

    New Homes Sales Agent

    Hampton Roads’ best-selling local new home builder, The Dragas Companies, has opportunities available for proven sales representatives at our new home communities. Candidates must be a licensed Virginia real estate agent and demonstrate a proven track record of sales with a passion for providing top-notch customer service. New Homes sales experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills and customer follow-up are a must.

    Essential duties for this position include:

    • Provide one-on-one sales consultation with prospective buyers at our new home communities by providing information about the community, demonstrating and touring the new home models, assessing qualifications and needs of prospective buyers and closing the sale.
    • Prepare all contract paperwork and assist in upgrade selections using our contract software, Newstar.
    • Maintain a follow up program for prospects and buyers using our CRM, Lasso
    • Provide weekly traffic reports, maintenance lists for model homes, supply lists and competition shopping reports.

    Essential Functions include:

    • Assists customers with selecting the mortgage that best suits their financial goals.
    • Explains lending programs and all required information needed to complete the mortgage process.
